This project was born from a perspective of structural materials used in architecture and giving them new use when re-contextualized. The chair carries a simple construction of using 2 grated aluminum grid used for trenches, lightly modified to feature 2 X beams that provide structure and a sitting platform made from clear 6mm bent acrylic – which is a cue to windows on high rise buildings.

Sitting as a light architectural construct in a room, the powder coated X beams highlight contrast as seen on safety and warning signs at building sites and accent details on workwear.
